Local distillery to promote Snowy region as it showcases gin range at Melbourne’s Junipalooza festival.
Wildbrumby Distillery will be introducing its growing stable of award-winning gin to a wider audience this month at the Junipalooza carnival of gin.
The annual ‘meet-the-maker’ gin festival will run from 21st to 22nd October at Melbourne’s Meat Market, and features distillers from around Australia and beyond.
Distillers Brad Spalding and Sebastian Drüge will be manning the Wildbrumby stand at the show, offering free tastings to all attendees, and demonstrating how the unique Snowy Mountains environment has shaped their range of gin, with its pristine alpine water and wild native botanicals.
Although best known for bringing schnapps to the Snowies, the past few years have been something of a ‘gin revolution’ at the distillery.
Its Rubus Patch gin claimed ‘Gold’ at the 2017 Melbourne International Spirits Competition, following in the footsteps of its Classic gin the previous year. It has since added to its range with the release of Stallion navy-strength gin.
“Junipalooza presents us with the opportunity to share our unique distilling heritage with Australian gin enthusiasts, while raising awareness of the Snowy Mountains as a region,” Spalding said.
